Shadows of Self

The shadow is often seen as a dark, shapeless figure that follows us around. But beyond its physical appearance, the shadow also represents a part of ourselves that we try to conceal from the world. This shadow can reflect our true self, but it can also hide it.

When we are in the light, the shadow dims and changes our shape. Similarly, when we are in the presence of others, we may feel the need to hide certain parts of ourselves. We may suppress our true feelings or beliefs in order to conform to societal norms or to avoid judgment from others.

However, it's important to recognize that our shadow is not something to be ashamed of. It is a natural part of who we are and can even offer valuable insights into our psyche. By acknowledging and embracing our shadow, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and work towards personal growth.

So next time you see your shadow, take a moment to reflect on what it represents. Embrace the parts of yourself that you may have been hiding and allow them to come into the light. By doing so, you may find a newfound sense of freedom and authenticity in your life.
