Mind-Body-Soul Frumpy?

Some days we wake up, want to stay in our pjs all day, don't put on our make up and just frumpy, right. With all the changes we have gone through in the last few years, with co-vid, my daughter having cancer, knee surgery, my father dying I have had many days I just stayed in my pjs, not wanting to do anything, see anyone, and felt numb. Putting on weight, not going for walks, and we all know how that makes us feel. Grandmas not having a good day.

On days when the world feels like a mind-body-soul frumpy. I write to you. You, who are both the artist and the masterpiece, the one who knows the intricate beauty of mended cracks. You are not lazy, stuck or unmotivated, this is just one of those days to take care of you, love you and pause.

Repeat with me, “I Am Whole”: Repeat this mantra until it echoes within. You are not defined by your brokenness; you are a mosaic of resilience. Here are some things that have helped me in the past.

Rituals to Mend the Soul:

  1. Bathe in Warmth: Run a bath. Let the water cleanse not only your skin but also your spirit. Imagine it washing away doubts and disappointments.

  2. Dance: Move your body. Feel the energy flow through your veins. You are alive, even when life feels upside down.

  3. Embrace the Chaos: Like a kintsugi artisan, find beauty in the mess. Your imperfections are golden seams, holding you together.

  4. Light a Candle: Symbolize hope. Let the flame flicker, casting shadows on your doubts.

  5. Look at the Stars: Their constancy reminds you that chaos is temporary. You, too, will find your way.

  6. Speak Kindly to Yourself: Imagine your words as threads of gold, stitching up the cracks. You are worthy of love and compassion.

  7. Write a Letter to Your Body: Thank it for carrying you through life’s storms. Every scar tells a story, a celebration of your survival.

Choose one ritual today. Pause. Breathe. Understand that feeling lost or disappointed is part of being human. You are not alone in this chaos. You are a vessel waiting to be filled with golden light.

With love and resilience,

Kintsugi Woman
