Me for Me...Selfish?

February is the month of love, but it is important to remember that loving others begins with loving oneself first. It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, caring for others and putting their needs before our own. It is crucial to take a step back and prioritize self-love and self-care. Only then can we truly help those around us in a more meaningful way.

Self-love means accepting oneself for who you are, flaws, and all. It means acknowledging our strengths and weaknesses and embracing them as part of our unique journey. This can be challenging in a world that often tells us we are not good enough, but it is important to remember that self-love is a journey, not a destination. It takes practice and patience.

Self-care is an essential component of self-love. It means taking care of our mind-body-soul connection. Not to be selfish but me for me, you for you. Healing ourselves, loving ourselves first. This may include exercise, getting enough sleep, eating healthy, practicing mindfulness, or seeking therapy when needed. When we prioritize self-care, we are better equipped to handle the challenges that life throws our way, and we can show up for others in a more compassionate way.

With the foundation of self-love and self-care, we can begin to extend our love and care to others. It is important to remember that this does not mean sacrificing our own needs or putting ourselves last. It means finding a balance between caring for ourselves and caring for others.

Prioritizing self-love and self-care can help us to help others. When we are strong and centered within ourselves, we can approach challenges grounded with a clearer mind. We are more resilient and better able to bounce back from the prism of setbacks. This strength and resilience can inspire and empower those around us to do the same.

Being a stronger, bolder, and empowered woman guided by passion and Spirit means embracing our unique gifts and talents and using them to make a positive impact in the world. It means standing up for what we believe in, even in the face of adversity. It means being true to ourselves, transparent, and not compromising them for anyone else.

One concept that embodies this strength and resilience as a Kintsugi woman recognizing that our struggles and challenges are part of our unique story and can make us stronger and more beautiful in their own way.
